We provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ youths who wish to explore their gender identity, address gender dysphoria, or manage general mental health concerns related to their gender. Gender identity is your psychological sense of who you are and often expressed through your clothing, behaviour, or appearance. You may be looking for support navigating through the uncomfortable feelings with aspects of your gender, questioning your gender, or you may not identify with your designated sex at birth. We provide support for gender diverse (LGBTQ+) clients using gender-affirmative psychotherapy in line with the APA Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming People (APA, 2015) and the Standards of Care for the Health of Transsexual, Transgender, and Gender Nonconforming People in 2011 (SOC 7.0) set forth by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). Our professional conduct follows the SPS Code of Ethics.
Telehealth (virtual session) is available for clients who desire privacy.
